The Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta, Terz. Dom., was born in Corato on April 23, 1865.

Elevated soul, Christ’s bride, modest, pious, endowed by God with extraordinary gifts: herald of the Kingdom of Divine Will, true and innocent victim and therefore efficacious and continuous shield towards the Divine Justice, angry due to the sins of mankind.

When 18 years old, she (vision or dream? The ecclesiastical authority shall decide…) saw Jesus bent under the Cross, saying to her “Soul, help me!”; after that vision she lived as a solitary soul in a permanent union with her Divine Bridegroom’s inexpressible sufferings.

From the age of 13 to the age of 18 her angel life went on among shows of Divine affection and of celestial charismas and among extraordinary signs of supernatural life.

During the about 70 years she spent in a bed, she put up with her painful infirmity with heroic Christian courage, and she always supported the weak and suffering souls asking her for help. She never rejected those who asked for advice.

She called herself “the Little Daughter of the Divine Will”. She always talked to everybody about the Divine Will, the way how to operate and live in It, as the only safe means to achieve sanctification.

Those who listened to her got surprised, as her words were full of knowledge and of Divine Unction. Several people left her small room spiritually transformed and purified.

Everybody referred to her as to a saint, everybody called her "Luisa la Santa".

Full of merits, on March 4, 1947 she died in the eternal light of the Divine Will, so as she had lived.

This is barely a spark of the figure and mission of Luisa Piccarreta “the Little Daughter of the Divine Will”.
